Aviva is a filmmaker, writer, performer, and "about me section" writer. She makes absurdist comedy videos about men who like to catch and twirl umbrellas, personified celestial beings, and women who admire MC Hammer. She considers comedy to be an important art form, although not everyone agrees with her.

She's a co-producer of Talkies, a long-running multi-media comedy show. Talkies has been featured in SF Sketchfest, The Nevada City Film Festival, and The Santa Cruz Comedy Festival. She’s been performing comedy for over 10 years, and was nominated as one of the “Best Comedians in the Bay” by the East Bay Express. She’s a contributing writer to websites like Reductress & The Hard Times, and her comedy’s been featured in The All Jane Comedy Festival, The Asheville Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Altercation Fest, Treefort Fest, UCB Comedy Originals, and Heeb Magazine.

As a video editor, she's worked on short films featured in SXSW, Woodstock Film Festival, Indie Memphis Film Festival, Hollywood Shorts Fest, Vimeo Staff Picks and more. Additionally, she's worked with brands & agencies such as AJ+, Grindr, Athletic Greens, Gamology, Sun Basket, Unfold, Reggie Watts, and more. Her work with AJ+’s comedic web series “Newsbroke” resulted in a nomination for the 2020 Webby Awards.
